Hash-based SignaturesWith hash-based methods we can create multiple key-pairs and then use the only once. We must thus keep a track of the private keys which have been used to create a signature, unless we create a stateless method, such as SPHINCS+ [1]. Currently NIST have the final round for the Post Quantum Cryptography competition, and for digital signatures, SPHINCS+ is one of the alterative finalists (alongside Picnic).
